What we believe and value.
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16
Our core biblical beliefs.
“Worldview” is a term for the underlying presuppositions behind the way a person or group engages in the world and the big questions of life. It is an operating framework, informed by core beliefs.
The core beliefs below represent this Christian community’s Biblical worldview.
___
God is creator and Lord of all creation. He knows how everything works.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1
You are a wonderful work, created by God, on purpose for good purposes.
“You are God’s poem, created on purpose for good purposes in Christ Jesus.” — Ephesians 2:10
The Bible is God’s Word for wise living.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Love is a choice, not an impulse. Love was best exhibited when Jesus gave His own life for the sins of humankind.
“God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
Because of what He did, everyone who believes in Him as Lord and Savior is saved and adopted into God’s family.
“To all who did receive Him, to all who believed in His name, He gave the right to become God’s children.” — 1 John 1:12
Authentic Jesus followers are not perfect people. They are grateful people who appreciate being rescued from lives under thorns into hope and good purposes.
“You have been rescued. Where you go now, healthy trees will grow where thorns once did.” — Isaiah 55:12-13
Christ is about progression, not fake perfection. If we live the light we have and share the light we know, God blesses it as we grow.
“You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:14-16
God’s kingdom is not about buildings, institutions, or religious businesses.
“The Most High does not dwell in buildings made by hands.” — Acts 7:48
It is people who follow Jesus as Lord, love others like He loves us, and help one another follow Him in fulfilling and beneficial lives.
“You like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood.” — 1 Peter 2:5
God’s kingdom has no class divisions.
“We one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” — Ephesians 4:5-6

Our core values
Core values are the root principles that a person or organization operates from.
Aligning to core values with behaviors and decisions helps a person or organization work and live in ways that remain true to the best of who they want to be.
We openly post the values below, along with our beliefs, to keep ourselves accountable to being who we say we are.
Biblical community: Every person feels wanted and valued. Opportunities exist for each person to contribute with their talents. Leadership is shared, and leaders serve instead of wanting to be served.
Biblical ministry: Everything done supports one overriding goal: Teach, model, and support one another in being more like our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Faithfulness: We operate with fidelity and loyalty in our personal and professional relationships.
Integrity: We uphold God’s truth and moral standards. We do it by teaching them and also by modeling them.
Sincerity: We work hard to remain free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. We oppose “do as I say, not as I do” religious leaders (Matthew 23).
Transparency (open and honest): We keep open communication between leaders and all community members.
Trustworthiness: We remain worthy of trust.
“Love each other, just as I have loved you. If you love each other like this, everyone will know that you are my followers.” — John 13:34-35
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart…Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” — Matthew 22:37-40
